Help Your Child To Make Puzzle

If you've never tried making puzzle before, then you'd better start with simple games with simple images, consisting of 10-50 details. The most popular are number and animal puzzles.

Let us learn how to make puzzle. To collect the whole giant picture from the chaos of spare details of different form, size, shape, color seems to be unachievable task, fantastic almost. But you should just begin. Be attentive and patient and you'll see everything is possible! Let's begin!

At first empty the puzzle box, put small spare details on a flat surface: car tonnage, box, wood desk (but not the floor), this would help us to replace our picture in the most comfortable place or if we decided to take a pause. From the whole pile we choose the parts for the future frame: with one or two flat sides, place these parts at the corners of the future image (according to the image on the puzzle box). Then we sort the parts by color like in the box, fix it and the frame is ready! Teach your child the second step. The rest details we put on the framed surface, sorting parts by color and similar image (e.g. green to green, rounds to rounds). Explain your child that the image on the puzzle box is smaller then the picture you puzzle, but it is the same. This game would help you to explain what size is needed to your child. Looking at the image on the box, we begin to collect small blocks of the mosaic. These blocks can have no connection with the frame; you may start from the image at the center of the picture, for example, an animal, or the main hero face, of the brightest detail of the dress and so on. The more blocks we have, the less spare details are left. Then we connect blocks together and place it into the frame. The game is over when there are no spare details and the image is complete. Congratulations! The mosaic is ready! What is next? You may put it under the glass and hang the picture on the wall. This would remind your child of the thing he did himself, and would inspire to new victories. You may stick the details on the car tonnage, wooden desk, may cover it with special glue or sticky tape. You also may dissemble the picture and to assemble it once again. This game would bring you and your child much pleasure and joy!
